How a02 concentrator works

How An 02 Concentrator Works

An oxygen concentrator  works by pumping  air into a container of something called zeolytes.  Zeolytes provide a large surface area where gas molecules can be absorb. The zeolytes job is to absorb nitrogen in the air.  This, in turn, will leave pure oxygen for breathing. Once the zeolytes have absorbed as much nitrogen as they can, the concentrator begins a regeneration cycle by switching to a second bank of zeolytes Containers.  At this time the zeolytes  in the full Container release their nitrogen and the container becomes ready again to begin Taking out the nitrogen from the air to make pure  oxygen. In order to have this continuous flow of oxygen, concentrators have two separate zeolyte-filled containers. One container provides oxygen for breathing and the other is in a state of regeneration by releasing stored nitrogen into the air.
